A. Anti...Anti-Capitalista!

Anonyme, Friday, June 15, 2007 - 15:09 ( | | )

It was the linking of the arms, over 200 hundred rows made up of 8 to 12 people each and a sister from Berlin who whispered ‘because of the snatch squads’ that reawakened my dormant thoughts on ‘the black bloc’.

Against the G8 and the imperialist war!

Eric Smith, Saturday, June 2, 2007 - 08:31 ( | | )

Huge demonstrations are planned in Germany on the occasion of the annual G8 meeting that is to start on June 6. The summit of this gangsters' "united front" will once again be protected by a giant police operation. It will be held in an entrenched camp especially designed for the event near Rostock. A 13 kilometer-long barbed-wire fence was installed for $18 million in order to prevent the demonstrators entering the meeting site... The German Interior Ministry first announced an exclusion zone some six kilometers around the site, but a court finally ruled that protestors could not be kept more than 200 meters from the fence. Some 16,000 cops will be there anyway to enforce the rulers' law and order. The Maoist organizations in Europe are planning to take part in the different actions that will take place during the whole week. Five of them issued this statement that they will circulate widely among the demonstrators.

Joshua Wolf facing charges for refusing to give G8 protest tapes

Michael Lessard, Thursday, August 3, 2006 - 22:25 ( | | | | | | )
Attack on the Free Press Continues (July 31, 2006) Josh Wolf was taken into custody today after a 9am court hearing on August 1st. He was found to be in contempt for exercising his first amendment rights and refusing to provide a federal grand jury with video footage he shot at the SF G8 protest last summer. He could be held until the grand jury expires next July. The Society of Professional Journalists has published a statement in support of Josh. [San Francisco Indymedia] SAN FRANCISCO: Judge William Alsup may find video journalist Josh Wolf in contempt Tuesday as Wolf continues to fight a Federal Grand Jury subpoena. The National Lawyers Guild (NLG) believes that the grand jury is being improperly used to obtain materials that would normally be protected under California’s Reporter Shield Law. [San Francisco Indymedia] Please support this very courageous young man It could be one of us refusing to hand over tapes in order to avoid they be used for political repression. :: All info on the support site hosted by 'The Revolution Will Be Televised'>>

Carniaval against Capitalism Anti-G8 Protest Successful in Russia
Despite Massive Police Arrests Ahead of Bush visit and G8 Summit

[ this article was only posted in USA on Portland IMC, please repost as widely as possible!]

Despite the fact that as many as 200 potential anti-G8 protesters have been already arrested just before the arrival of President Bush in Russia, activists yesterday successfully organised a large carnival protest in Moscow without a single person being detained. However, illegal harrassment and detention of people remains a large civil rights problem.

'Energy Dissent' and the 2006 G8 Summit in Russia

Anonyme, Saturday, January 7, 2006 - 18:09 ( | | | | | )

Reclaim the debate! Resist the G8! In July 2006, the G8 will hold its annual Summit in St.Petersburg, Russia. Vladimir Putin says he's placing "energy security" at the top of the G8 agenda during Russia's presidency. The G8 countries consume 45% of world oil and produce 47% of global CO2 emissions. Their "energy security" is our energy grave!

The Great African Charade

Anonyme, Monday, September 26, 2005 - 08:04 ( | | | | )

Aid is a tool of the core capitalist countries in their struggle to control and exploit the weaker peripheral countries. While we are told in public about the moral imperatives our leaders feel to help their African brothers and how they give aid from the goodness of their hearts a different story is told in private.
